FAQ - Babysitting
What does the price include? Will there be any additional costs?
The price covers the babysitting service for the reserved time, along with access to a variety of equipment for snow games and activities, including:
- Sleds and snow gliders for sledding
- Headlamps for adventures after dark
- Reflectors and LED lights to ensure children are visible during dark hours
- Snowshoes for exploring the winter landscape.
Additional costs may apply depending on the activities chosen, such as rental fees for ski gear or ice skates, ski passes, or tickets to attractions like the Ailu Family Fun indoor playground. These details will be discussed with you when making the reservation to ensure everything is planned according to your preferences.
What should I pack for my child for babysitting?
- Extra pair of gloves/mittens, they can get wet and cold while playing in the snow
- Extra snood / neckwarmer / balaclava as they get wet easily
- Extra pair of socks, if feet get cold, it usually helps to change dry socks
- Snacks and drink
How will snack or lunch times be handled during babysitting?
This will be arranged in advance when you make the reservation, depending on the timing and duration of the babysitting session. You are welcome to pack snacks and drinks for your child, or, if you prefer, we can enjoy a snack or meal at one of the cafés or restaurants in the area.
If your child has any allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know so we can ensure their safety and comfort. For meals at cafés or restaurants, the simplest option is to provide cash in advance. The babysitter will handle the payment and return the change and receipt to you afterward.
Is insurance included in the babysitting service?
The babysitting service provider is covered by liability insurance, ensuring coverage for situations arising from the babysitter’s actions. However, clients are responsible for ensuring their own insurance policies cover the activities chosen for their child, such as skiing, snowboarding, or other outdoor adventures.
If you have any questions about the activities or need more details for your insurance provider, we’re happy to assist during the booking process.
What if the weather is too cold?
We will always warm up indoors when needed. There are many cafés and restaurants in the Levi village, where we can pop in to have hot chocolate. There are also indoor playgrounds at the Levi Spa (close to Zero Point) and at South Point in the Leevilandia kids’ area.
